Thy Kingdom Come – Matthew 6:10 | KJV

Week 4 · Day 24-4 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

KJV

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

The prayer looks forward to God's kingdom coming to earth and His will being done here as it is done in heaven. It is a prayer of order, righteousness, and divine rule.

✂ Right Division

Matthew 6 is kingdom instruction to Israel under the ministry of Christ. The Church, the Body of Christ, is not building the earthly kingdom by its own strength. We preach Christ according to the revelation of the mystery while waiting for God's whole purpose to be fulfilled.

✦ Application

Let God's will correct your own. Even while we live in the dispensation of grace, we long for the day when heaven's order fills the earth under the King.

1 Matthew 13:10–11 KJV And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 2 John 14:29 KJV And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 3 Isaiah 46:9–10 KJV Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there...

Dead to the Law – Married to the Risen Christ | Romans 7:4 KJV

Week 2 · Day 12-1 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead.” — Romans 7:4 KJV Death breaks the Law's hold. A widow is freed from the law of her husband by his death. Paul applies the same principle: we died with Christ — Galatians 2:20 — and that death severed our legal relationship to the Law. We are no longer married to the Law. We are married to the risen Christ. ✂ Right Division The purpose of this new marriage: that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Not the fruit of legal compliance under threat of condemnation, but the fruit of a loving relationship with the risen Christ. The Spirit produces this fruit naturally — Galatians 5:22-23. ✦ Application You are not married to the Law. You are united to the risen Christ. Let that relationship produce fruit in your life — naturally, freely, joyfu...
